Yep, that first week of your new diet you are completely motivated to get to the gym that you have been paying on since the last time you started a new eating plan. Maybe you can get on that treadmill that you have had for a very long time, but may have been being used as a place to hang clothes or things of all sorts are piled up on it. It may not have even been plugged in for a while. But you are plugging it in and cleaning it off and you are walking every single day on it. That’s how the first week goes.
The second week may be a little less motivating to exercise, but you still push yourself through it. Possibly by the end of the second week you start taking a little break here and there because you feel you have been doing well and you deserve a day or 2 off. You don’t feel like driving to the gym or you have too many other things you need to do. We can find a million excuses to not exercise.
Is it just being lazy or is there a deep seeded reason why you don’t exercise after the initial phase. Maybe you think this treadmill is going to be attached to you the rest of your life and you will never get away from it. Are you bored? Do you feel shame or fear with the thought of exercise? With EFT we can tap on this issue. We can break through this barrier of resistance to exercise. We can create a healthy balance of exercise. Imagine if you really like it and wanted to exercise….it could happen.
